On the morning of February 24, nearly thirty high school students visited our faculty from SZC Varga István Technical School of Economics in Budapest, led by Melinda Takácsné Szabó and accompanied by Eszter Palotás and Gabriella Baier.
The Technical school is our partner in certified kindergarten teacher training, and many of their students are interested and open to scientific research. Therefore, within the framework of the TDK, we agreed to organize a faculty junior research workshop.
The visit was an introductory event to familiarize them with the process. The students were first welcomed by Andrea Fenyődi, president of the Scientific Student Conference Council, and Mária Hercz, former president. Then our third-year students guided the groups around the faculty building, giving the students an insight into university life. In the second part of the program, Mária Hercz gave an interactive presentation on the advantages and challenges of becoming a research student, presenting innovative research projects carried out at the faculty as inspiration. This was followed by a discussion with Magdolna Szabadi, Vice President of the TDT, on possible research methods in kindergarten.
We would like to thank the students for their participation and the SZC Varga István Technical School of Economics for its support.
