On April 17, 2026, the very first Code Week Junior Cup finals were held at the ELTE Faculty of Primary and Preschool Education. What made the event special was that it was the first competition jointly organized by Code Week Hungary and ELTE TÓK, hosted by the annual Robotics and Coding in Early Childhood conference.

The competition began with an online round. A panel of experts evaluated the submitted projects and selected the four most skilled teams, who traveled from various parts of the country to compete in the Budapest finals.

The finals took place in a cheerful atmosphere, with the children tackling the challenges with great enthusiasm and skill. As the crowning achievement of a successful day, the award ceremony merged with the conference’s closing ceremony, where the children received their well-deserved prizes to the sound of thunderous applause from the professional audience and conference participants.
